HP-41 article

Hi all.

I wrote a little article about the HP-41 on my site:

I'm quite pleased to see that it now appears 7th in the list for a Google search on "HP-41".

I did own an HP-41CX, but last year I donated it to The National Museum of Computing, at Bletchley Park.

I now use the awesome i41CX+ app on my iPhone and iPad.

For me, what put the the real 41 ahead of the iPhone (& similar) ap.s is that the real one had HPIL which could be used to control and take data from a lot of lab instruments at once at a workbench. We used a 41 to control the production testing on the first two million dollars of a product in 1986-87. When we replaced it with a PC, the PC was also harder to program, and the speed of the tests was not improved much because so much of the time was spent waiting for filters to settle and readings to come back from the instruments anyway. At least my 41cx was then freed up for engineering use.
