I have an HP 41CV with manuals, original box, and financial pack. I can't get it to turn on, but I haven't tried very hard either. I'm slowly downsizing my life and so must give up the calculator. I would like for it to have a good home. I'm in Houston, TX. Calculator available for shipping plus a good story.

What's the serial number? Or what I guess I'm getting at is mainly whether it's a coconut or halfnut version. Are you basically giving it away if the taker pays for shipping? And what's the "good story" part? My own is at http://www.hpmuseum.org/cgi-sys/cgiwrap ... i?read=224 although it's outdated and I have not been able to access it to update it since I got more modules and accessories. The main part of it was that I originally got the 41 for controlling lab instrumentation, which worked out very well.

Do you still have that 41CV? Have you tried new batteries? I would be interested in resurrecting it so I can use it. After all these years, I still use my 41CV and want to have one in reserve.

Yes, I tried new batteries. Serial #2242S41683. I'm basically giving it away.

According to the serial number, it's a coconut, not halfnut, so it's eligible for the 41CL transplant which makes it up to 50 times as fast and comes with over 230 mondule images already installed. I hope you liked my story, but if skonwiser wants it, I won't fight over it.
