Have a CX acquired a few years ago that has had little use but seemed fine. It is currently functioning but a new set of batteries go flat in about 2 days! "F and ON" brings a blank screen rather than the clock. Any key will clear it but seems like something is running. Machine looks like it turns off, but any key will turn it back on! Don't have another 41C handy but I don't remember this as "normal"? Any suggestions? Thanks.

The stopwatch can run and take power while the calc is off, but the rest sounds like a malfunction. The stopwatch should never start without your telling it to though.
