Hi all,

does anybody know how to modify a HP-41cx to the turbo-version? I did it more than 10 years ago, but I forgot how I did it. :(

All I know is, that I needed a little switch an a little capacitor for the modification.

thanks for your help
Andreas

I did it for some of customer back in 1986/86, but I do not remember of it was done.
You need to change a capacitor to one with a smaller one. This can give your up to double speed, but it will eat battery.

You need a dip switch that can switch between original capacitor and the one that gives more speed.

I am sure the details are in the PPC archives somewhere. Some people used reed switches and even reed switches that toggle and stay set. It changes the tone frequency also.

I was looking for something that can switch between original capacitor and the one that gives more speed. But I got little information about that. Now from this thread, I know what hardware is needed for switching. Can anyone help me to find the resource for dip switch?
