Synthetic programming on a HP41CX

Hello,

I want to use the synthetic Programming on a HP-41CX. But according to the synthetic programming manual, I need a removeable Memory Module to start.

But my HP-41CX doesn't have one!

Is there a way to use the synthetic programming on a CX, or is there no need to do this, because some synthetic functions (e.g. the access to the flag-registers) are alway implemented?

I have a 41cx and started synthetic programming on it. I started with the byte grabber key assignment described in the book "Extend Your HP-41" by Wlokek (sp?) Mier-Jedrzejowicz, chapter 14. I suppose it's the same byte grabber described in other books, which takes advantage of a bug in the original 41, a bug HP refrained from fixing because it made for more sales. I had no removable memory module until 20+ years later when I got a double extended memory module. A few years after I started synthetic programming, the ZENROM was on sale at EduCalc, so I got one. It makes synthetics available directly from the keyboard, plus has a direct RAM editor, plus assembler, and a few other nice things.

Start out creating a byte grabber following this procedure.
It should work on all HP 41C(V/X)

No memory module needed :)
HP41CX with CCD module . HP41CV . HP42S + many other HP calculators

Edit: Johny3329 whose post I reply to below was later banned and kicked out for adding spam, but I'll leave my reply. The relevance of his post to the 41 (and to this synthetic-programming topic) was questionable, but I initially gave him the benefit of the doubt.

I don't have a direct answer for you, but HP document 85153-90019, "Creating Your Own HP-41 Bar Code" seems to have very detailed information on the bar code types, and has BASIC programs to generate them. A scan of this document is at cd-8/sw/hpbc.pdf of this DVD, and probably on this DVD as well (from this site) although I don't have the latter to verify. There are probably other files on there too that would help. I don't know if Frank Wales lurks here, but he was on the design team for the HP-71 wand which reads about ten different bar code types and I believe can also read HP-41 bar code.
