Paper load issue

Postby LeBabou » Wed Oct 12, 2011 7:38 pm

Hello.

First of all, sorry for my English, but that's not my first language.

I've a 82143A printer which was working well until I tried to change the paper
I slowly push new paper as described in the manual until I cannot push it further.
Then, I press paper advance but it doesn't move.
There a mettalic bar, a tape and the print head.
The print head is firmly pressed on the tape and I can hardly imagine that the paper can insert itself between the tape and...
Where should the paper goes ? Between metalic bar and tape ? Between tape and head ? How can I remove the pressure from head ?

Thanks a lot for your help.
Xavier.

Hello.

I found a solution. "La nuit porte conseille" has we say in french ;)
I opened the printer and I remarked that a piece of plastic hab been damaged or forced and a border of the paper was folded on itself (I'm sure I'm very clear  ).
So I used a small screwdriver to push it and that's ok now.
Next time when I'll have to replace the paper, I will just attach then end of old roll to begining of new one ;)
Last point: the printer doesn't work properly if the battery is not inserted even is the battery does not charge anymore.

Have a good day.
