Keyboard Overlays

Postby TwoWeims » Sat Aug 31, 2019 12:35 pm

Is there a dimensioned drawing of the HP-41 keyboard overlay?
I would like to experiment with making custom overlays using a laser cutter and direct to substrate UV printer.
I can attempt to measure off the keyboard but I would like to be as accurate as possible.

THanks

For me it does not generate an SVG file.
I can't interact with or save the image. I will try a different browser...

Note that if you carefully make the holes for the bottom 4 rows a bit wider, and also put a double-wide hole on the right side of the 4th row down (i.e. opposite edge from where the ENTER button is, joining the holes for the [EEX] and [<-] keys) you can easily have a 2-sided overlay. Well worth the small effort, as this generally will let you mount 4 (or even 6) overlays on a 41, by having 2 x (or 3 x ) 2-sided sheets.

That is a great Idea. I will give it a try...

Did you actually try to do this, TwoWeims? Did it work?
