Scratched display - how to...

My HP41 has a couple of scratches in the display and I was wondering if anyone here have tried to polish a display to get rid of scratches? If so, how did you do it - what tools did you use - and how successfull was the operation.

Hi Carsten,

You can do it with a bit of cloth and a special paste that you can get where you buy CD-ROMs or at Conrad for example.

I have not done it on an HP-41 but on HP-67 and on HP-01 watch.
The result is perfect.

So you can polish the window of the HP-41 with the same paste. If the scratches are deep, you have to do it several times.
Try first without to much pressure and when you see the scratches disapearing slightly, try with a little bit more pressure.
