card reader

Postby zimal2 » Sun Aug 16, 2009 1:19 am

I apologize for my naive question. I have an HP-41cv and some card reader (magnetic?) strips someone sent me a long time ago with a program on them. But I never installed the program, and am unsure if the card reader is located in the HP-41cv itself or is an external device which I don't have. Thanx

Jotne, your picture link appears to be dead now, so here's another picture of the HP-41's HP82104A card reader:

It plugs into the top end of the calculator. The cards are approximately .45" wide, or around 11.5mm wide, ie, less than half inch wide.

(I'm saying this partly in hopes I don't have to throw out and ban another spammer who comes trying to sell their totally unrelated and irrelevant USB point-of-sale credit-card readers. Spammers, note! I've deleted and banned quite a few already.)
