Someone (maybe not the person that sold it to you?) has added a device plug from the 41/71/75/HP-IL devices to the charger housing on the 82087A, for unknown reasons. You can see the power output is different, and I strongly suggest that you DO NOT USE the 82087A unit with your 41 or tape drive, etc.
The higher voltage could hurt the device and even if it does not damage it, the lower current could be insufficient for powering the Tape Drive, even with a good battery installed.
You can see the standard connector type on the 82087A here:
https://www.bonanza.com/items/like/494787941/HP-82087a-AC-Charger-Power-Adapter-for-vintage-HP-calculator-untested, which is only used with the Spice series calculator models as noted above.
Someone posted a similar incorrect 82087A adapter once on the MoHPC Forum in 2014, here:
https://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-1364.html. Possibly this is the same person??
Anyhow, don't use it, just to be safe.
