SandMath: HowTo use VMOD in a programm?

Postby floppy_stuttgart » Fri May 27, 2022 2:10 pm

Hello,
in page 82 of 198 (bottom left) http://systemyde.com/pdf/SANDMATH_44_4x4_Manual_V5.pdf the function ΣF$ “VMOD” is indicated.
How to program this?

XEQ ALPHA ΣF$ ALPHA
give nonexistent

Background: I am searching for a function by giving X1 Y1 Z1 of a vector in the stack, the normed vector with unit 1 is given back in the stack as X2 Y2 Z2 (for further use as rotation quaternion).

Many of Angel's ROMs use sub-functions as a way to use semi-permanent key assignments (when using that ROM). Look in the manual in the earlier chapters about how to use these launchers / sun-functions (near pages 10-12) and it will explain the keys to press to invoke ΣF$.

in PRGM mode

XEQ ALPHA ΣF$ ALPHA
show "ΣF$ _" and then when I give VMOD (ALPHA is on), when clicking ALPHA again, I see 2 new programming lines appearing
..
ΣF$
III
..

which is weird because in page 22 we see
"112 VMOD Vector Module x, y,z in stack Ángel Martin"

and I would have expected to see 112 instead of 111 in the second program line.
Whatever.. looks like its working (= the manual V5 revision Q should have an issue with describing the index of VMOD; perhaps somebody could inform Angel of it).

since I dont know how to input # from the HP41 keyboard, I could not test
"ΣF# Sub-function Launcher by index_ _ _ Prompts for Index Ángel Martin" in page 18 by giving 112

And: how to give all these functions in a text editor for changing into raw files using HP41UC or rpncomp ?
XROM xx,111 ?
