Favorite HP-41C Software Tricks You Still Use Today?

Postby helengrace » Tue Sep 16, 2025 3:54 am

Hi everyone,
I’ve been curious about the little software tricks or programs that people still find useful on the HP-41CChiikawa Puzzle. Do you have a favorite routine, library, or clever workaround that you keep coming back to?
It would be great to hear which programs made your HP-41C more powerful or simply more fun to use. I’m sure many of us could pick up some helpful tips from each other.
Many thanks.

Hello,
I would generally say by thinking about HP41 (not about single functions or programs)
- RPN
- Connecting ability (storage, screen)
- huge number of topics already programmed on it since 50years
- yoga-like programming (for me)

What immediately comes to mind is synthetic programming.  I originally got started in it with the byte grabber published in the book "Extend Your HP-41."  Not long after that, EcuCALC had a sale on the ZENROM module, so I bought one.  It makes all the synthetics as if they were not synthetic; so for example, you can put special characters in a string, directly, without the extra overhead of XTOA sequences.  Now I have some of Angel Martin's ROM module images in the flash of a Clonix module from Diego, including the WarpCore which adds tons of general-purpose functions that improve the speed and compactness of programs in any discipline.  I'll probably think of more later.
