I don't have a direct answer for you, but HP document 85153-90019, "Creating Your Own HP-41 Bar Code" seems to have very detailed information on the bar code types, and has BASIC programs to generate them. A scan of this document is at cd-8/sw/hpbc.pdf of
this DVD, and probably on
this DVD as well (from this site) although I don't have the latter to verify. There are probably other files on there too that would help. I don't know if Frank Wales lurks here, but he was on the design team for the HP-71 wand which reads about ten different bar code types and I believe can also read HP-41 bar code.
